Description:

To develop students’ understanding and knowledge of psychology as it is applied to the workplace.
To encourage students to evaluate theoretical approaches to, and models of, human behaviour in working environments.
To encourage critical analysis of empirical research which has examined the application of psychology in working environments.
To provide students with the opportunity of applying their understanding and knowledge of Managerial Psychology to workplace issues and problems.

Define and discuss key terms, concepts and models of psychology applied to working environments
Critically evaluate a range of theoretical frameworks that inform the application of psychology in the workplace.
Critically evaluate the process of psychological assessment.
Critically analyze the potential effects of social, technological and environmental changes on the individual in the workplace and how psychologists may respond to them.
Use appropriate psychological empirical evidence to make practical and reasoned decisions.
Demonstrate an ability to use psychological knowledge and research evidence to solve problems related to working environments.
Present advanced level, reasoned, critical and evidence-based arguments in written form.
