Rationale

 
This course emphasises on the study and the understanding of International Law. Students will be exposed to various issues, aspects and implications and institutions ranging from war and peace to international institutions and tribunals. 

Learning Outcomes


At the end of the course students will be expected to:

(i)    State the origin and legality of international law.
(ii)    Describe main principles in international law.
(iii)   Analyse and discuss the scope of international law.
(iv)   Describe the coming into force, operation and termination of treaties.
(v)    State the nature of united nations and other international organisations.
