Rationale
World War I had an inevitable effect on human life on a global scale. The key element has been a methodological approach to the literary representation of what this war caused in society. Therefore, the student is introduced to the creation of fiction, poetry, film, and drama in this societal turmoil. The course is a response to the question of uniformity and continuity in the era of breakdown and loss of identity.
