Aims
1.To review the global nature of international labour regimes and the regulatory mechanisms
2.To understand the link between international labour law; corporate governance and international trade
3.To describe each of the rights encompassed by the term international labour and to consider the main legal elements pertinent to each right
4.To review the operation of international labour regimes through specific industries, e.g. agriculture, fishing, hazardous industries…etc.
5.To place this study within the broader setting of economic policy and commercial application
6. To consider the importance of the law, policies and strategies regarding equality

Learning Outcomes
After completing the module the student should be able to:
1 Demonstrate knowledge and understanding critical awareness of the relevant contemporary legal issues.
2 Demonstrate knowledge and understanding and critical awareness of the contemporary issues pertaining to the core and option areas of study
3 Have a systematic understanding and critical awareness of current problems and contemporary issues and/or insights into the changing nature of UK and international organisations operating within a multinational framework
4 Demonstrate the capacity to work independently and to professional standards and display high order skills in legal research and writing.
