Aims
To develop and test students' ability to prepare a dissertation based on a study in appropriate depth, of a subject of some significance in relation to their own discipline within the built environment.

Learning Outcomes
After completing the module the student should be able to:

1 Formulate a research question/problem and devise an appropriate methodology of investigation

2 Gather, present, analyse and interpret appropriate evidence in relation to the chosen research question/problem and demonstrate an understanding of the limitations of the evidence

3 Synthesise findings and draw justified conclusions around the research question/problem
