RATIONALE
This module introduces students to the study of global management perspectives in business and aims to familiarise them with the skills to confront the challenges in today's international business environment. It uses complementary perspectives to help them understand the theories of globalisation and the perspectives and national differences in political, economic and legal systems in global business and approaches related to capitalism and growth.
AIMS
The main aim of this module is to help students to comprehend the below global management perspectives concepts:
- The 'global student' and the 'global graduate'
- Global business today
- Introduction to theories of globalisation – and multinational business
- Perspectives and national differences in political, economic and legal systems
- Capitalism and growth
LEARNING OUTCOMES
On successful completion of this module, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of global management perspectives, basic concepts and principles;
- Indicate their understanding of the main global management perspectives topics included in this module through their formative and summative submissions, and use overall contemporary information and material on global management perspectives theories to develop academic work, individually and collaboratively;
- Provide and describe workplace examples related to global management perspectives concepts.
