The Induction module is designed to help new students feel comfortable in the new environment, introduce them to the ethos and culture of our institution, help them build relationships with other students and faculty members, and become familiar with methods of learning that will enable them to become effective online learners. The module introduces them to the practice of writing for academic purposes, setting the foundations for continued development and adaptation of those skills in all their academic and professional endeavours. It is a self-paced module with a maximum duration of two weeks so students can decide on the pace and timing of their learning experience and proceed from one section to the next at their own speed.
