The module will equip students with the skills and knowledge required to design, manage and execute a research project within the field of organisational psychology. Students will explore the research methodologies, project management techniques and ethical considerations which are essential for conducting high-quality research. Students will develop a critical understanding of various data collection and analysis methods while also engaging with the theoretical and philosophical foundations of research design. By the end of the module, students will have developed a well-structured research proposal that integrates methodological rigor, ethical integrity and practical feasibility. Students will be expected to critically evaluate sources, apply research strategies to real-world contexts and communicate their research process. This module serves as a foundational step towards the completion of their dissertation.
Module Aim
The aim of the module is to enhance students’ understanding and practical application of contemporary methods of scientific investigation, data collection and data analysis through appropriate project research management. Students will develop the ability to design, conduct, and present robust research projects, selecting appropriate methodological approaches and taking full account of best ethical research practices.
