Rationale

Through this course, students will become familiar with academic literature and language so that they are able to respond critically to a variety of types of academic literature and produce high quality academic writing.

 Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course students will be expected to:

(i)    Identify the requirements of academic writing.
(ii)   Find sources that are relevant to their work and use them appropriately in their papers.
(iii)  Respond critically to scholarly sources.
(iv)  Develop an academic paper cohesively and structurally.
