Rationale
Training skills development offers an organisation’s workforce the opportunity to cultivate their skills, enhance their knowledge and therefore, improve their performance and productivity in their current positions or their future career development. The aim of this course is to provide students the means to create a training and development plan as future HR practitioner and also highlight the co-dependence between the terms: productivity, motivation and training and indicate how such training developments add value to the employees’ community. Consequently, the Human Resource department, considering both the current needs of the organisation and the employee’s desire for self-improvement, takes the role of the learning facilitator, formulating continuous training plans. In this way, it invests on its people, orient and motivate them through their career paths, while at the same time it improves the company’s productivity and image. The course provides an introduction to training and development management, training process, techniques and employee orientation, which constitute indispensable procedures of the HR services.
