This module is intended to develop a knowledge and critical awareness of the broad range of finance functions available to aid decision-making in management. This will be accomplished through sampling a wide range of examples of current research in financial management, combined with the pool of expertise at the School's disposal. The aims of this module are to give students insight and knowledge, from a wide range of examples, into the types of finance functions, how they can be used to aid decision-making and topics that are currently being addressed in research. Furthermore, it aims to develop students' ability to engage with and respond effectively to presentations of research. Students will gain direction for a dissertation topic through an independently produced essay.
