Aims
To provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills to effectively plan, implement and evaluate health improvement and health protection projects and programmes, in order to reduce public health risks and improve health and well being of populations.

After completing the module the student should be able to:
- Critically discuss the theories, models, principles and strategies of health improvement and health protection
- Critically evaluate contemporary health improvement and health protection projects and programmes
- Plan and present a health improvement intervention
- Critically assess the effectiveness of policy and responses for the protection of the public's health
