The BSc Nursing allows qualified nurses the opportunity to explore contemporary issues in nursing and to produce a solid foundation for evidence-based nursing  

Course Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

1. Lead the delivery of innovative, evidence based practice within planned progressive and individualized care plans, which generates new understanding of the theoretical foundations of nursing care.
2. Deploy techniques of analysis and enquiry to nursing practice.
3. Appreciate uncertainty, ambiguity, and limits of knowledge.
4. Show a critical appreciation of the principles of good governance in the management, leadership, and development of care.
5. Demonstrate initiative and personal responsibility in your own personal and professional development.
6. Demonstrate a commitment to furthering the professional status of nursing.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for admission are:

  • A recognised Diploma in Nursing, Nurses Registration in home country and at least 12 months post registration nursing experience
  • Applicants with partial study towards a recognised Bachelor's degree in Nursing may be considered for entry
  • Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended
  • English Proficiency: Students satisfy the English proficiency requirements provided they present a GCSE score with a minimum grade “C/4” and above or IELTS (Academic) with an overall score of at least 6.0 (and no individual component lower than 5.5) or equivalent qualification.  Students who do not have the above-mentioned qualifications are required to take the online Academic English Placement Test. This is an IELTS-type test (Reading & Writing) where students need to score an overall 6.0 (with no individual component lower than 5.5).
  • Personal Statement (minimum 500 words) explaining how the programme of study will benefit the student’s career progression
  • Up to date CV
  • Two references (academic or professional) listed on the CV; stating the referee’s full name, contact details, and relationship to the applicant.
